Cubs Opener

It's cloudy, windy, rainy and cold. That can only mean one thing, it's time for the Cubs opener.
I am going today with one of my sons. It is always a fun and exciting time, everyone there is filled with hope, unfortunately in the past years, that hope always comes crashing down.
" This could be the year" will be said often today. I think they should easily win their division, but after that it is a question mark. Hopefully we will see a stronger team this year, with a healthy Derek Lee, a new outfielder in Fukadome(excuse the spelling) and maybe Pie, will reach his potential, still waiting for Corey Patterson and Shaun Dunston to reach theirs. Anyway its spring, I think, and its Cubs baseball and its the best game around. At least I know one thing, they are going to be a hell of a lot better than the Cardinals or the White Sox. No question there.

Waking up after my daughters party, and it looks like I went 3-0
Took Memphis before passing out last night, so I know I won that.
Also in NBA I have Lakers -7 vs the Wizards and 76ers +4.5 vs Cavs.

Went 2-1 yesterday, so I am back to even. Today I am going with UCLA, NC and the over in UCLA/Xavier game.

I am new to blogging, so I am still learning how to put this together. But its like talking to yourself. Then you go back and find out how stupid you might sound. Anyway went 1-2 last night. But I am coming off a 6-0 run, so I think I will bounce back tonight.

Vote for Cubs new song

I agree with the Cubs is time to get rid of "Jump". Its been there song since 1984! Holy Cow!
But my song didn't make the list of candidates. It has come down to 2 songs. BTO's Taking Care of Business. This was suggested by Chicago's True Oldies Station 94.7 And Thin Lizzy's The Boys are Back in Town, suggested by 97.1 The Drive. Personally I think this is the year the Cubs win it all, so what better song than REM's It's The End of The World as We Know It.
